where do i start? it was truly a wonderful celebration of chase's life, filled with love and support from family and friends. it was a great set up and spread (see photos below) and baby chase was great the entire day. he got a bit fussy when he started to tire out, but you'll see from the pictures that he wasn't opposed to cat napping throughout the day.
we dressed him up in a traditional get up, and he sported some really fancy bling. he received a panda coin, with his birth year, from his aunts and uncles (THANK YOU!!!)... and those two little charms around his neck are from p and i. one is a snoopy charm, and the other is an ox... because it's the year of the ox.
and for more info and background on why red eggs and ginger, check out this blurb... http://chinesefood.about.com/library/weekly/aa012303a.htm
his grandma m shared a beautiful story about his great great grandparents... she's a professional storyteller (how cool!).
we couldn't be more excited about our little guy...
but the day wouldn't be complete without a few shannanigans... courtesy of gung gung... his gg has be waiting to do this for 3.5 months now, just like he did with his own kids (me included). check out the concentration.
that would be our neighbor's sun hat and the table cloth...
we had our fill of food, friends, and family... and by the end of the day baby chase was all tired out and ready to go home. thanks to everyone who helped make today so special for him/us. and a special shout out to gpa and gma fongo for hosting, planning and preparing for the day.
we love you.
