haaaaapppppy new year!

there will be a part 2 to this post, but for now... here is a glimpse into our NYE celebration! daddy p was able to hook up a couple of hotel rooms in sf at the hotel nikko so that we could head to the city with grandma and gung gung for the day. we got in early, walked around bloomingdale's a bit and checked out some of the decorations and the bustling activity in union square. we had a late dinner reservation so the plan was to put baby chase to sleep for the night, have my parents watch him... while we went to eat and out for the evening at the hotel marriott's "view lounge". but... as evidenced by this picture, chase was just having too much fun to go to bed early...

so we headed out anyway to meet some friends (more with friends later)

we had a great time, and chase slept the whole time we were away! thanks mom and dad for watching him so we could have a night out :)

this picture doesn't show it well, but chase was so happy to see us when we got in at around 1am that he spent the next hour playing with us, while we tried to get him to fall back asleep.


fortunately, he still woke up a happy little camper the next day, and sported his new addidas sweat suit from auntie j. super cute!!!

to another year of love, laughter, family, great friends and many blessings that we can share with one another.
