i can't think of a better way to experience your first sand... on the shores of maui! note that in the first couple pictures, he was too busy pulling off his hat... to realize the sand around him.
and the tent we borrowed from auntie t was GREAT! thank you so much for letting us borrow it.

and then he finally made the plunge.
(much to his dislike on day one.)

I feel his pain! The first pics of me on the sand showed similar distress. . .bet he got to like it! PS I still don't love to be sand covered. . .
